The Niger Delta Avengers militant group have denied news circulating about its meeting with the representatives of the Federal Government of Nigeria which was reported to have held in Asaba, Delta state.
The militant group took to its social media account on Twitter to debunk the rumour as it tweeted at the official handle of news agency Sahara Reporter.
The statement released by the militant group reads:
According to SaharaReporter Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) and the Nigeria government had a meeting in Asaba, Delta State to dialogue. We want to say it’s a lie and anybody parading themselves as Niger delta Avengers (NDA) representatives are political jobbers.
