Jose Mourinho has made his first signing as Manchester United boss; fellow Portuguese Ricardo Formosinho as his new technical scout.
The Portuguese served under Mourinho at Porto during his first Champions League success, and subsequently followed him to Real Madrid.
Formosinho, 59, will be responsible for tactical scouting and assessing potential signings as United look to reclaim a Champions League spot,
The former Chelsea boss is bringing his own management team to Old Trafford with long-time assistant Rui Faria expected to take up his familiar No.2 role.
Mourinho has been linked with a move for former Paris Saint Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic with reports suggesting that the Swede has already agreed personal terms with United.
Mourinho is also said to be interested in Villarreal centre-back Eric Bailly, as well as Chelsea midfielders Willian and Nemanja Matic.
