A group, Igbo Vision in All Progressives Congress (APC), on Sunday advised Nigerians to patronise locally made goods in order to boost the nation’s economy.

Founder of the group, Chief Uche Dimgba said that there was need for Nigerians to buy locally made goods as part of the efforts at creating employment opportunities.

He spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) after the inauguration of the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Chapter of the group in Ota, Ogun.
Dimgba urged the government to create enabling environment for the youths to be able to engage in businesses or trades.
He said that the Igbo Vision in APC was a platform for the Igbos to canvass for positions in the 2019 general elections and to support the APC.
Also speaking, Mr Charles Ukeje, the Chairman of Igbo Vision in APC, Ijokoro Local Government, Ota, urged the Federal Government to continue its fight against corruption and intensify efforts in diversifying the economy.
Ukeje said that the Federal Government needs to diversify the economy and provide conductive environment for manufacturers to increase their productivity
He said the platform was to give the Igbo people the sense of belonging within the APC and the government.
He appealed to Nigerians to be patient with President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, nothing that it would take some time to correct the mistakes of past governments.
Mrs Ifeoma Ekuri, the Chairperson of Igbo Vision in APC, Ogun Chapter, said that the platform was set up to enlighten the Igbo people to come out en masse and join the party.
”We are appealing to Igbo people in Sango-Ota and its environs to join Igbo Vision in APC so that their political rights will not been denied,” she said. (NAN)
