Popular blogger, Linda Ikeji has been dragged to the Lagos High court by a Lagos-based lawyer identified as Olumide Babalola over illegal, unauthorized and offensive use of picture.
The case with suit number LD/3265MFHR/2016 brought before Hon. Justice O.H. Oshodi claimed the subject [Linda Ikeji] has subjected him to mental and psychological torture which is in violation of his constitutional right to dignity of human person and freedom of degrading treatment.
The lawyer in the suit also sued the blogger for damages in the sum of N50,000,000 for the unauthorized use of his picture on her blog for crime-related stories.
The presiding judge, Justice O.H. Oshodi granted an injunction restraining the blogger from further use of the Lawyer’s picture till the main suit is heard.
Justice O.H. Oshodi adjourned the case to September 2016 for hearing.
