The central states of Abuja, Lafia and Makurdi will experience cloudy weather conditions with localised thunderstorms on Friday morning.

The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook issued on Thursday by the Central Forecast Office of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) in Abuja.
It added that there would be wider spread of rainfall activities over the region later in the afternoon and evening period with maximum daytime temperatures of 21 to 26 degrees Celsius.
It also predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy conditions with prospects of evening localised thunderstorms with maximum daytime temperatures of 22 to 26 degree Celsius.
According to NiMet, northern states of Maiduguri, Potiskum, Yola, Nguru and Damaturu axis will experience morning rainfall during the forecast period.
It stated that Sokoto, Kano, Katsina, Gusau, Zaria and Yelwa would also experience thunderstorms with maximum daytime temperatures of 25 to 29 degrees Celsius within the period.
According to the prediction, moderate rainfall activities are anticipated within the next 24 hours period as a result of atmospheric instability and moisture influx.
