Eleven ships laden with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise known as petrol, have arrived Lagos ports, waiting to discharge.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its “Shipping Position’’ publication, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Lagos.
The document indicated that one other ship had also arrived at the port with aviation fuel, and waiting to discharge.
The NPA said that 27 other ships containing petroleum products, food items and other goods were being expected at the ports from Sunday to June 4.
It explained that other expected ships contained general cargoes, bulk salt, bulk sugar, buck wheat, bulk charcoal, crude palm olein, diesel, kerosene, bulk fertilizer and other containerized goods.
NAN reports that 15 other ships are currently at the ports discharging wheat, general cargoes, petrol, sugar, kerosene, aviation fuel, diesel and containers.
