In a bit of news that shocked the entire footballing world, Cameroonian footballer Patrick Ekeng died during a game for his club.
The entire football world mourned the passing of such a young footballer especially as he left a wife and daughter behind.
The casket containing Patrick Ekeng’s body was taken to Dinamo’s stadium on Friday morning, where his teammates, the team’s fans, and Romanian football officials said one last goodbye to the young footballer, before he was carried to the airport to be repatriated to Cameroon.
Over 1,000 fans, team players, coaches, leaders came to pay final respect to Ekeng before the body is flown to Cameroon for burial.
At the ceremony was Deputy Chairman of Romania’s Professional Football League (LPF) Robert Pongracz, who laid a wreath from LPF.
