The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has obtained a remand warrant which will enable it to further detain Femi Fani-Fani Kayode.
Fani-Kayode was detained on Monday over receiving public funds to the tune of N840 million in the presidential election last year.
The remand warrant, which was obtained today, will enable the anti-graft agency to keep the former minister beyond the stipulated time allowed by law.
This warrant will enable EFCC operatives to further question the former minister of aviation who is being accused of corruption.
Femi Fani-Kayode has maintained his innocence.
