Cleric tasks Christains to live in accordance with God’s covenant

2 Min Read

The Resident Pastor, Living Faith Church, Bwari, Pastor Isaac Abioye, on Sunday, admonished Christians to live in accordance with God’s covenant in order to reap divine heritage.

Abioye gave the injunction while delivering his sermon entitled ‘’The Gateways to Financial Dominion’’ to mark the April Thanksgiving Service.

He said that Christians were not meant to be spiritually buoyant and financially poor.

“Heritage is not what you fight for but what you come and meet in life; the only way to get it is doing what God has covenanted.

“The covenant anchors majorly on giving, which is not only limited to a season but also a lifestyle; our covenant requirement is to keep tithing.”

He identified some benefits of living by God’s covenant to include blessings through the gift of divine ideas and favour.

The highpoint of the service was thanksgiving and dedication of children born in April, among others

The pastor also dedicated the new 18-classroom storey building built by the church under the auspices of its `Heritage Model School’.

The Headmistress of the school, Mrs Deborah Favour, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview, that the building contained facilities such as Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Laboratory and Music studio.

She said that the construction of the building commenced in December in 2015 as part of the church’s effort to help young people to develop their knowledge and skills. (NAN)
