The Full details of the 2016 Appropriation Bill passed by the National Assembly will be forwarded to the President, Muhammadu Buhari for assent before the week ends.

The assurance was made by a member of the House of Representatives representing Agege Federal Constituency, Lagos State, Taofeek Adaranijo, on Tuesday.

The Lawmaker who spoke in Lagos shortly after inspecting some projects in the state added that the Senate and Housing of Representatives’ committee on the Appropriation had been working hand in hand to ensure that the President got th details o the budget before the week ends.

President Buhari had refused signing of the budget earlier based on the failure of the National Assembly to provide the full details of the harmonised 2016 budget worth N6.06 trillion.

Adaranijo said: “The delay was caused by the lapses identified in the budget. As responsible parliamentarians, the lapses identified had to be sorted out first.”

The Lawmaker, also a member of the House Committee on Works while inspecting the ongoing Road construction by the Lagos State Government in collaboration with the Agege Local Government Area and the Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area amongst other projects said, “The projects have demonstrated Ambode’s love for the people. It must also be noted that this is about the first time that such first class roads would be constructed with walkways, drainage channels and streetlights.

“During electioneering, we made a lot of promises to the people. The projects are in fulfillment of our promises to them.

“As a representative of the people, I felt it is pertinent for me to come and see what is going on so I can report back. Anytime I see the governor, I will appreciate him for the ongoing projects.”
