The sum of N5 million has been recovered by Men of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit, (Task Force).
The recovered money was reported to have fallen off a moving bullion van along Lagos State House of Assembly Complex, Alausa, Ikeja.
Speaking on the recovery, the Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force Superintendent of Police, Olayinka Egbeyemi, noted that the recovery was made by two Police officers attached to the agency.
According to him, the two officers, Sergeant Ogunbiyi Agbabu and Inspector Eheziekia Abiona, who were responsible for the recovery deserve commendation from the Lagos State Government.
He further added that the bullion van driver with the missing amount should come forward with adequate proof of ownership to reclaim the recovered amount.
