The Chairman of the Asari-Toru Local Government Area Caretaker Committee in Rivers State, Mr. Sobomabo Jackrick, has today been declared wanted by the Nigerian Police Force as a result of the violence in his area.
Mr. Sotonye Wakama, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in Charge of Operations while speaking in Port Harcourt with journalists said the Caretaker Committee Chairman was declared wanted as a result of the discovery of arms in his residence.
Mr. Sobomabo Jackrick also called Egberipapa, was formerly a militant leader before he abandoned it for the amnesty offered by the Federal Government, following his acceptance of amnesty, he was appointed the CTC Chairman by Governor Nyesom Wike.
The Deputy Inspector-General also expressed his disdain for what he termed “Senseless and tragic” killing going on in the state and promised that the state Police will do everything within its power to bring the perpetrators of the evil act to justice.
