Microsoft officially launched Windows 8 in October 2012, but the company is already working on Windows Blue, the first update that might see daylight in August. While some say that Blue arrives way too soon for the OS market, it appears that Microsoft has even more surprises prepared for its users.
A report published by Digitimes claims that Microsoft is already developing another operating system, most likely Windows 9, which “will serve as the next-generation Windows.” The same report claims that the next Windows version might be released in October.
Is there an element of truth to the rumor, because it does seem a little too soon, for a whole new operating system, as the update for the existing operating system is already on the way. Anyways, Microsoft as expected, has declined to comment on it.
However, a Job post was spotted on the Microsoft’s Careers Page – Software Development Engineer in Test II – Windows. Under the description of the job, the company wrote “The next version of Windows release will advance further the promise of the newly re-imagined Windows user experience. Do you want to be part of the biggest paradigm shift in the history of Windows?”.
There is no hard evidence as to when the Windows 9 OS might come to light, but from what is gathered, it will bring in a whole new Windows user experience.
Previous reports noted that Windows 9 is indeed under development right now, but the final version shouldn’t arrive sooner than November 2014.
