The race for who takes over the mantle of leadership of the Nigerian Super Eagles seems to be getting clearer as it appears the Ugandan coach Sredojevic Milutin, alias Micho, will be occupying the position soon.

Micho who is getting ready to dump his former job has been contacted by the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, and talks opened for his confirmation as Nigeria’s next coach at the end of a two-match mandate handed to the three-man caretaker coaching team led by Samson Siasia.

Sources confirmed that the NFF has been in talks with Micho and his representatives since the CHAN in Rwanda.

A top official disclosed that; “Green met with Micho at CHAN and it is like it is already a done deal. The plan was to appoint Shuaibu Amodu for the Egypt matches and after those games, a substantive foreign coach will be named with Micho in pole position,

He continued that Amodu Shuaib had decline then post because of his health issues, “But Amodu declined the post because he is hypertensive and so the temporary arrangement of Siasia and co, who have been told they will revert to their previous posts after the matches against Egypt.”
