Atiku Clears Name, Denies Involvement In Adoke’s Travails With The EFCC

1 Min Read

Former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, has vehemently denied allegations that he was behind the trials of Mohammed Adoke, SAN, former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, who has been under the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission spotlight in connection with the $2 billion Malabu Oil deal.

The former Vice-President, while clearing his name in Abuja on Tuesday in a statement released by his media Adviser, Paul Ibe, advised all those invited by the EFCC, including Adoke himself to go and clear their names with the anti-graft agency.

He added that those invited by the anti-graft agency need not drag other innocent people into the twist.

“The former Vice-President does not have a hand in the travails of the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

“The Turaki Adamawa advises the erstwhile Attorney-General and others so invited to focus on clearing their names instead of dragging innocent people into the fray.”

Recall that Adoke has in a letter forwarded to the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, fingered former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar as one of the people responsible for his travails.
