The news was everywhere; from Twitter to Facebook, WhatsApp to BlackBerry Messenger, Lagos to Abuja.
The day was Saturday, January 30, and a pregnant woman identified as Habiba Shaba Ibrahim had been kidnapped .
It was gathered that the woman had driven her car to her in-laws house but had to take a cab while leaving because her car developed a fault.
It was during the journey back to her home in Kubwa, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory that she got missing.
Some days later, some men contacted the family, demanded a ransom to effect her release.
However, the victim has now been freed, although there is no statement by the family as to whether ransom was paid tosecure her release or not.
