President Muhammad Buhari and other African leaders recently assembled at the African Union Peace and Security Council Meeting of the Heads of State and Government in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
Considering the grave economic and security situations facing several African nations, it was good to see that all the leaders had their game faces on as they prepare to strategize new plans and renew old commitments to forge a new Africa where peace, security and prosperity are the order of the day.
For instance, President Muhammadu Buhari said Friday in Addis Ababa that Nigeria will fully redeem its pledge of $100 Million for the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) to enhance the operations of the Task Force against Boko Haram.
Speaking at a high-level meeting of the African Union (AU) Peace and Security Council, President Buhari said that having already released $21 Million to the task force in June last year, Nigeria will remit the balance of $79 Million very soon.
