Outgoing Governor of Kogi State, Idris Wada will today formally dissolve his executive cabinet and will also commission the Lokoja Mega Park, as part of the projects to wind-down his four-year tenure.
The transition committee, headed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Olugbemiro Jegede, is also expected to brief the governor before submitting its document to the governor-elect’s transition committee.
The governor’s tenure will end on January 26, and would be handing-over power to the governor-elect, Yahaya Bello, on Wednesday, January 27; which will not give room for another Wednesday weekly exco meeting.
The governor after the last November election (which he lost), has commissioned the ultra- modern Odu-ogboyaga Specialist hospital, and flag-off the N4.8 billion Ganaja fly-over bridge.
Aside the motor park to be commission today, Wada is also expected to commission the Kogi hotel; renovated and expanded by his administration before exiting government.
