Militants Go On Rampage In Warri, Blow Up More Oil Installations

1 Min Read

The bombing of oil installations in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State by men suspected to be Niger Delta militants has continued, as another set of explosions were reported at the Abiteye flow station, which also affected Chevron pipelines on Friday night, Vanguard reported.

Recall that a gas explosion rocked a section of Warri South West LGA and several oil installations in Gbaramatu kingdom on Thursday, barely hours after a Federal High Court in Lagos ordered security operatives to arrest ex-militant leader, Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo.

However, he has come out to vehemently refute the claim that he was behind the attacks, accusing the Federal Government of trying to frame him.

A resident of one of the communities close to the newly-attacked site claims residents were trapped in their communities as a result of the bombings.
