Former Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric has his heart set on a return to the Premier League in the summer with Manchester United his favoured option.
The Croatian scored a superb goal to help knock United out of the Champions League last week and according to the Daily Mail he still dreams to play in the Premier League with the club.
Modric was Sir Alex Ferguson’s top priority two seasons ago but failed to land as he tried to replace Paul Scholes but the transfer never materialized.
Since moving to Madrid for £33million last summer, Modric has scored just one league goal in his 22 appearances and has struggled to impress under Jose Mourinho.
United moved to sign Shinji Kagawa having missed out on Modric but at 27 Ferguson will be tempted to sign him should he come available in the summer.
