As Manchester City and Watford clash at Vicarage road on Saturday, City striker Wilfried Bony has warned his teammates to be wary of Watford’s in-form striker Odion Ighalo and his equally lethal strike partner Troy Deeney.
Odion Ighalo, with his goal in the 2-1 loss to Tottenham on Monday, became the highest goal scorer in all four divisions of the English league with 30 goals.
The Nigeria international also has 14 goals in the current league campaign, one behind Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and Everton’s Romelu Lukaku.
These exploits are not lost on Bony who told City’s official website that: “Every game is difficult but I think we are the team that should win.
“We will try to go there and take the points and do what we know we can. With luck, we expect to win the game.
“Ighalo and Deeney are both in good form now and as a striker, when you are in good form, everything can happen. In six months, you can score 20 to 25 goals. We have to be careful of what they can do and know that they are in great form and can score at any moment.
“We have to be ready and be prepared for this game.”
