Rob Kardashian has reportedly been diagnosed with diabetes. The reclusive 28-year-old was rushed to the hospital after feeling ill over the weekend, TMZ reports. According to the site, Rob had no idea he was diabetic.
Kris Jenner’s only son has been battling weight gain and depression for years. During a May episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the momager revealed that Rob had gained 100 pounds. “I cry myself to sleep literally every night worrying about [Rob],” Jenner said. “It’s breaking my heart.” His sisters Kim and Khloé Kardashian have been eager to help the struggling star, joining him on hikes and offering to get him a chef.
Rob, who has mostly stayed out of the limelight in recent years and has missed out on numerous family events, including Kim’s 2014 wedding to Kanye West, joked about his weight gain this past August.
“Started right here with these milkshakes hahaha…#throwbackthursday,” he tagged a #TBT pic of himself from June 2011 at Las Vegas’ Sugar Factory American Brasserie.
Earlier this year, Rob had been preparing to make a comeback. As Us Weekly reported in September, Rob had shed more than 15 pounds through workouts with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson and by following a personalized eating plan.
