Barely 72 hours after being crowned the Best Governor in Nigeria, Nasir Elrufai was allegedly attacked by angry indigenes in Zaria.
According to a video posted by a Twitter account, @kaduna_project, the governor disguised himself in an SUV to visit Zaria.
When the indigenes learned it was the Governor in the SUV, they immediately launched a vicious attack, which caused the alleged occupant of the vehicle to flee desperately for fear of loss of life or limb.
Thousands of Zaria indigenes are livid with the Governor over demolition exercise carried out by the government.
Other sources say the governor was not attacked, insisting he was in Lagos on official business when the purported incident occurred.
