A video has surfaced online showing Islamic State’s oil trucks burning after being bombed by Russian warplanes.
The video was released on Saturday by the Revolutionary Forces of Syria Media Office which “reports the news of Syrian revolution professionally and objectively”, Business Insider reported.
While Russian military are yet to confirm the video, a statement earlier today by Russian Defence Ministry confirmed that airstrikes were launched in the Syrian city of Aleppo, which hit a line oil vehicles owned by the Islamic State.
After a Russian plane conveying 224 people was bombed November in Egypt by terrorists claiming to be from the Islamic State, Russia promised it would retaliate against the terrorist group, and has been doing through air strikes targeted at cutting off the group’s sources of funding and logistics.
