A woman in Nasarawa state has divorced her husband of 29 years over his excessive intake of alcohol that she said has made him look older than his age.
Mr Albert Maga, the presiding judge of a Mararaba Grade 1 Area Court, Aso Pada, in which the case was heard on Thursday granted the plaintiff’s prayers, citing lack of love.
The plaintiff, Mrs Laraba Thomas, had taken the matter to the court seeking a divorce from her husband, Ali Thomas.
The court held that family members on both sides had tried to reconcile them, all to no avail.
It then went on to dissolve the marriage.
