Lewandowski Awarded With Four Guinness World Record Certificates

2 Min Read

Polish and Bayern Munich hitman, Robert Lewandowski has been awarded an incredible four Guinness World Records after his stunning five-goal haul in just nine minutes against Wolfsburg in September.

The Bayern Munich striker came off the bench at half time with his side a goal down, and blew the opposition away before the hour mark.

And now he has received the official record certificates of his achievements for the quickest hat-trick, four-goal haul, five-goal haul and most by goals by a substitute, all in the Bundesliga.

He later tweeted: ‘It is a great honour to have my achievements on the pitch hit the Guinness Book of Records.’

Lewandowski struck his first just before the 51-minute mark against Wolfsburg, before adding his second less than a minute later.

He then completed his hat-trick in the 55th minute and added his fourth and fifth in the 57th and 60th minutes respectively.

It’s been an impressive season for Lewandowski in front of goal, as he has scored 26 goals in 25 appearances for club and country so far.

His form has also helped Bayern top the Bundesliga in emphatic fashion, as well as qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League, and he has spearheaded Poland’s qualification for Euro 2016.

Next up for Lewandowski is Bayern Munich’s trip to Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga on Saturday, before their final Champions League group game four days later.

They travel to face Dinamo Zagreb next Wednesday night, but have already guaranteed top spot in Group F
