Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has described the death of governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, on Sunday as “shocking”.
Audu reportedly died of an undisclosed medical condition suspected to be heart attack in the early hours of Sunday.
Saraki took to Twitter on Monday afternoon to express his sadness at the death of Audu, whom he described as a “dogged and visionary leader”.

The APC gubernatorial candidate was buried some minutes before 2 p.m on Monday at his house in his hometown of Ogbonicha, in Ofu Local Government Area of the state.
