Apple and Spotify Get New Rival in WeTransfer

1 Min Read

WeTransfer, a Dutch file sharing service, has announced plans to launch a new music player at an event in Los Angeles today.
WeTransfer which serves 85 million users monthly, seeks to rival Apple and Spotify in the exclusive songs and music video steaming industry. Prince, Big Grams and Disclosure have already released songs and videos on WeTransfer and they seek to sign more artistes.
WeTransfer allows users to transfer files of up to two gigabytes, but has no plans to make money from music.
It appeals to people who seek to move large files and they aim to compete with top video sites, social networks and streaming sites for hits.
The company which raised $25 Million earlier in the year has reached out to Madonna, Justin Bieber and Pharrell.
