The re-election bid of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State may have suffered a setback as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Opunabo Inko-Tariah tendered his resignation on Friday.
Giving reasons for his decision to quit, the media aide said the governor was incorrigible, and never acted on professional advice given to him.
He equally said that his office was starved of funds throughout his five months as a Special Adviser.
While expressing his gratitude to the governor for the opportunity to serve in his government, he wished the governor luck in his re-election bid.
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress in the state commended Inko-Tariah for his courage in opting out of the Wike-led Peoples Democratic Party administration in the state.
However the PDP declined to comment on the media aide’s resignation.
