Renowned for her effortless style and her role as a UN Ambassador as well as being a former Spice Girl, it’s hardly surprising that Victoria Beckham has been named as one of Glamour magazine’s Women Of The Year.
For the 25th anniversary special edition, the 41-year-old joins the likes of Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon and former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner with the recognition.
In the landmark issue, the British designer – who is married to football legend David Beckham – talked about her position as an influential role model for women across the globe.
‘I did have to find myself and my confidence,’ she told journalist Louise Gannon. ‘I want to make other women feel like the best version of themselves. That’s the same message as the Spice Girls. It’s still Girl Power.’
Victoria, also known as Posh Spice, plummeted to worldwide fame in the late 1990s alongside fellow Spice Girls bandmates Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C.
After going their separate ways in 2000, the British pop star tried to carve a solo career before making it huge in the world of fashion. She launched her eponymous label in 2008, and her designs have been worn by stars across Hollywood including the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet and close pal Eva Longoria.
The mother-of-four also discussed how she balances her busy work schedule with family life, teaching her children, sons Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz and daughter Harper what she has learned over the years.
‘Nothing ever came naturally to me,’ she confessed. ‘I was never the cleverest, never best at anything.
