YBNL CEO, Olamide leads the 2015 Headies nominees list with eight nominations while Starboy boss Wizkid follows behind with seven. The nominees list was unveiled today Wednesday, September 30 in Lagos.
Olamide’s nominations include Best Pop single, Rap Album, Best Collaboration (twice), Best Street-Hop Artiste, Album of the Year, Artiste of the Year, and Song of the Year.
Wizkid follows with nominations in categories such as Best Pop single, Rap Album, Best Collaboration (twice), Best Street-Hop Artiste, Album of the Year, Artiste of the Year, and Song of the Year.
They also square up against each other for the Artiste of the year award, touted as the biggest awards in the list. Three other big acts in contention for the same category include Davido, Yemi Alade, and P-Square.
In contention for a Brand New Car prize for the Next Rated category are Reekado Banks, Kiss Daniel, Korede Bello, Cynthia Morgan and Lil’ Kesh.
Another major highlight of the list is the Hall of Fame Award to be given to 2face Idibia. The award show is due to hold in December on a yet to be announced date by the organizers.
