Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has invited 19 home-based to prosecute the African Nations Championship (CHAN) against the Stallions of Burkina Faso in October.
The country is seeking its second qualification for the event which is in its fourth edition. The next finals will take place in Rwanda from January 16 to February 7, 2016.
Nigeria Professional Football League joint top-scorer Sunshine Star’s Tunde Adeniji is expected to lead the team’s attack alongside highly-rated Super Eagles winger Gbolahan Salami.
The team will be joined by Femi Thomas (Enyimba FC), Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Sunshine Stars), Chima Akas (Sharks FC), Austin Oboroakpo (Abia Warriors), Paul Onobi (Sunshine Stars) and Prince Aggreh (Sunshine Stars) who will be in Belgium for Nigeria’s international friendlies against Cameroon and DR Congo
The invited players are expected to report to Port Harcourt on October 4 ahead of the first leg of the clash on October 18. The return leg is on October 25 in Burkina Faso.
