The All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange moved up by 0.38% today after gaining 0.53% yesterday. The primary index added 117.07 basis points to end the week before the long Sallah break at 30,543.17 basis points. Market Capitalization for the market at the close of trading today was N10.49 trillion.
The total number of deals recorded on the floor increased by 0.38% after appreciating by 3.36% yesterday, while the total volume of shares traded on the floor increased by 124.93% against an increase of18.24% recorded yesterday and the total value of transactions appreciated by 39.25%.
The top five most actively traded shares on the exchange today were ZENITHBANK, STERLNBANK, ASOSAVINGS, UBA and LAWUNION led the activity chart with a combined total of 300 million shares, 65% of the total volume of shares traded today.
Market breadth closed negative as FO led 22 Gainers against 24 Losers led by OKOMUOIL.
Year-To-Date currently stands at -11.87%.
