Struggling English Champions, Chelsea on Saturday defeated rivals, Arsenal 2-nil in an unconvincingly manner.

The game started on a fair level with Arsenal seeing more of the ball in the opening twenty minutes before Chelsea took the initiation.

There were no clear chances but there were moments of madness from usual suspect. Diego Costa and former Villareal hard man, Gabriel Paulista which saw the latter given his marching orders for an innocuous foul against Costa.

Chelsea in the second half sought to take advantage of numerical advantage and against the run of play, seeing Zouma scoring from a Cesc Fabregas free kick.

Moments later, Arsenal captain, Santi Cazorla was also given his matching orders for a foul on Fabregas.

Eden Hazard’s deflected strike put an added gloss on Chelsea’s first home win of the season.
