Danity Kane Claim They Never Made Any Money Under Diddy

2 Min Read

Ex members of music group Danity Kane Aubrey O’ Day and Shannon Bex have formed their own group, Dumblonde, and claimed they never received any money while they were signed under music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The duo sat down with morning radio show The Breakfast Club on Tuesday to discuss their new independent venture and share their experience as members of Danity Kane.

“It wasn’t even money because we never make any,” O’Day said while talking about the now defunct Danity Kane. “We have two platinum albums [and] grossed over a million dollars on Christina Aguilera’s Back To Basics Tour…We came off that tour $15,000 in debt and grossed millions.”

Bex added her take on things saying,“We were signed to Diddy. That’s all I’m gonna say…And that’s one of the reasons why we are [independent]. Because you have to get your business straight because no one else is gonna care.”

Danity Kane rose to prominence in 2005 when they were created as part of the third season of MTV’s Making the Band, hosted by Diddy. After the reality show wrapped up, the group was singed to Diddy’s Bad Boy record label.

A source familiar with the situation opened up to TMZ and explained that “Diddy did not handle the finances or the management of the group.”
