President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered improved security measures for all internally displaced camps in the country.
The President also strongly condemned Friday’s bomb blast in the Malkohi camp, while urging Nigerians to be more security conscious.
In a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, the President said “We must not let the desperate and evil-minded criminals have any respite. There’s now an urgent need for all to be security conscious by paying utmost attention to security issues at all levels.”
Meanwhile Shehu in an interview with Thisday has disclosed that security and loot recovery will top President Buhari’s agenda when he arrives France on Monday.
Shehu said “There are challenges with security in Nigeria and the Lake Chad region. Most of the countries surrounding us are French speaking and are also affected by the crisis.
“This is why we are seeking the assistance of France. We are seeking their support in the war against terrorism in the North-east.
