President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday evening met former President Olusegun Obasanjo behind closed door.
The two leaders met behind closed doors for about one hour at the President’s office.
Details of the meeting were unavailable and no official statement was issued by the presidency.
Efforts to speak with the former President were rebuffed as he quickly entered his car and left the Villa.
In response to the questions on his mission to the Villa, the former president merely told the journalists in pidgin English: comot joor (give way).
Buhari had on August 21 named Obasanjo his Special Envoy to mediate and help find a solution to the crisis brewing in Guinea Bissau.
It is believed he may have come to brief the president on the latest developments in the politically embattled country.
It would be recalled that Obasanjo had met with Buhari at his official residence within the Villa secretly last month, same day former President Goodluck Jonathan also met him.
