Actor/Musician Tyrese Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in the ‘Fast And Furious’ series, explained in a recent interview with Yahoo why he thinks the films have become so successful.
“Fast and Furious is the most progressive, multi-ethnic experience and cultural phenomenon that has ever happened to cinema,” he said. “I think that’s one of the most unspoken realities of ‘fast and Furious. There is nothing like going to a theater and having a bunch of people from many different backgrounds, many different nationalities all in one movie so that you can see somebody in the film that you can identify with. There is nothing more empowering.”
The multi-national cast of ‘Fast And Furious 7’ includes Gibson, Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Dwayne Johnson, Luke Evans, Tony Jaa, Sung Kang and Djimon Hounsou.
The ‘Fast and Furious’ movie series has bucked the Hollywood trend and become more successful with each movie. The latest installment Fast and Furious 7 broke various records this year and is also on its way to making almost £1 billion at the global box office.
