Even as kidnappers of top Nollywood actress and Special Assistant to the Governor of Imo State on Public Affairs, Nkiru Sylvanus have gotten in touch with some top officials of the government, the government promised a reward for anyone with information leading to her whereabouts.
In a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Chinedu Offor, the government said that it was aware that the kidnappers had gotten in touch with some government officials and the security agencies were also working assiduously to get her back safely.
“The kidnappers have made contact with certain government officials. Government will offer a substantial reward to anyone with useful information about her whereabouts,” the statement said.
Sylvanus, a popular actress was abducted on her way back from a movie location by unidentified gunmen between Concorde Hotel and Cathedral Street in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
The kidnappers are said to be demanding N100m before releasing Sylvanus.
