His star turn as James Bond catapulted him to worldwide fame. But Daniel Craig, 47, admitted to DuJour magazine that he still struggles to cope with the attention that comes with his famous role.
The British sex symbol posed for a series of sultry photos as he talked about how he misses being able to get drunk in public, and revealed he injured his knee while filming the upcoming James Bond film Spectre.
‘Bars are hard, but that’s more because of mobile phones,’ he said. ‘I’ll do autographs all day long, and I’ll even do a picture at the end of an evening. But if I’m being photographed all night long in a bar, that pisses me off… But people don’t see it as a problem. Maybe I’m delusional.’
The actor, who says he steers clear of the internet and Twitter to avoid ‘abuse’, revealed that people often try to sneak photos of him instead of just asking.
Once, he even woke up on a flight to find he was being filmed while sleeping, which he said was ‘creepy’.
‘That happens to me so often, you wake up to a phone in your face and you go, ‘What the f***!”, he told the magazine. ‘I mourn it slightly. I like to have a drink, and I love pubs and I love finding new pubs and places to socialize. But that has a limit on it now.’
