Following the international recognition his music has been getting, Brymo has signed a distribution deal with a US-based music company, Tate Music Group.
“The agreement signed by Brymo with Tate Music Group is a territorial deal which covers only the United States of America. This implies that Brymo’s songs in digital and physical form can be purchased in music stores across the US. The contractual agreement also gives Brymo the room to sign other recording deals with music labels in other parts of the world outside the US,” said a source.
When contacted, Brymo’s manager, Lanre Lawal said that the deal was sealed some months ago but he decided against making it public. Also, asked why he chose to keep the details of the deal on the low, Brymo answered:
“I decided not to say anything until now because I prefer to allow the work speak for itself rather than making noise that is pointless. I decided to let the fans know about it now that our first major project which is my new album is set for release.”
Plans are also in motion for Brymo to release his first international album under the Tate Music Group imprint. Titled ‘Trance’, the 8- track vinyl features selected songs from Brymo’s last two albums; Merchant, Dealers & Slaves and Tabula Rasa.
