The first day of trading saw the All Share Index depreciate marginally by -0.04% to close at 31,427.68 basis points as against 31,441.71 basis points from Friday’s trading session. A total of 3,262 deals valued at ₦1.43bn took place, a decrease of -4.95% and -38.32% respectively. The total number of shares trade reduced from 524,648,340 to 146,702,468, a -72.04% decrease, while Market Capitalization stood at ₦10.77 trillion at the close of trading for the week.
Three Indexes gained, while five lost. The Insurance Index gained 0.04%, while the Lotus Index moved up by 0.4%. The Industrial Index continued its impressive rise as it gained 1.01%. The Banking Index, NSE 30 and Consumer Goods Index made losses for the second session in a row.
The Top Gainers chart was led by MOBIL closing at ₦165 and gaining ₦5. DANGCEM was next on the Top Gainers chart, adding ₦4 and closing at ₦185. 7UP, PRESCO and ROADS completed the charts adding ₦1.50, ₦1 and ₦0.31 respectively.
The Top Losers chart was led by FO, they shed -₦4 and closed at ₦204. They were closely followed by NB who shed -₦3.50 to close at ₦135.50. PZ, UACN and ZENITHBANK shed -₦1.46, -₦0.75 and -₦0.7 to close at ₦33.05, ₦36.25 and ₦16.2 respectively.
ETRANZACT, TRANSCORP, ZENITHBANK, FIDELITY and ACCESS were the most active stocks on the floor today, with a combined value of ₦500M.
