Army Cadets Unleash Mayhem On Motorists In Northern Nigeria (Photos)

2 Min Read

Several national and international Human Rights organizations, even the United States Senate have severally complained about the extreme maltreatment of Nigerians by security agents in Nigeria.

These catalogued human rights violations range from rape, murder and extortion to harassment.

Recently photographs of Nigerian Army cadets harassing motorists in the city of Kaduna where the Nigerian Defence Academy is located.

The photos were posted to popular online forum Nairaland by one of its users mobsync.

Some of the reactions to the photos by other Nairaland users are worthy of making mention of.

Yang said, “The Nigerian Boys scout . . .Rapists and Murderers. This is what Senator Leahy was talking about. The Nigerian Army teaches its students how to carry out genocide and rape women.”

LOC1 said, “Ordinary cadet! Our military has turned into an organization where touts and human rights violators are bred. Heaven knows what would become of them when they leave the NDA. Give them arms now to face insurgents and they will urinate on their body.”

The Nigerian Army has issued  an official  statement that all the perpetrators of the act will be brought to book.

It said in a post on social media site, Twitter:

Our attention has been drawn to pictures on social media where cadets of NDA were punishing some citizens of this country. This is against the principle, standard and value of the Nigerian military. The military stands to protect and defend its citizens. We disown this very action and we assure everyone that we will take right action to discipline these cadets.
