Former Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, was at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Friday, to seek audience with President Muhammadu Buhari over the lingering leadership crisis in the House.
It will be recalled that Gbajabiamila is at the centre of the leadership crisis rocking the House.
Gbajabiamila narrowly lost his bid to become Speaker of the House of Representatives to Yakubu Dogara despite being the choice for the post by his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His bid to become the Leader of the House is also being resisted by the House leadership which was reported to have zoned the position to the North West.
The House leadership has however conceded the position to a member of the Gbajabiamila group who must be from the North West in order to maintain the Federal Character principle in the appointment of principal officers of the House.
