These 10 Songs May Soon Be Banned By NBC

1 Min Read

For some time now, the Nigeria Broadcasting Commission (NBC) led by Mr Emeka Mba has maintained that it may be banning from our airwaves songs deemed ‘suggestive’ or ‘too raw’. Confirming this decision, the NBC recently sent a memo to almost all Nigerian Radio Stations directing them to use their discretion to stop playing any song with ‘suggestive’ lyrics on Radio. Most Nigerians were not aware of this until Beat FM OAP, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi sent out a tweet regarding the matter.

However, TheNET.ng came up with a list of 10 songs that are clearly ‘suggestive’ and might make the list of songs that won’t be getting airplay on radio going forward.
See the list below:

1. ‘Ladi’ – Lil Kesh, Olamide and Phyno
2. ’69 Missed Calls’ – Jahbless featuring Olamide, Reminisce, Lil Kesh, Chinko Ekun and CDQ
3. ‘Skilashii’ – Reminisce
4. ‘Expensive Shit’ – Wizkid
5. German Juice – Cynthia Morgan
6. ‘In the club’ – Olamide featuring Viktoh
7. ‘Ukwu’ – Timaya
8. ‘Gbese’ – Lil Kesh
9. ‘Come and Do’ – Cynthia Morgan
10. ‘Twerk’ – B-Red featuring Davido
