A student of Ambrose Alli University got more than what he bargained for after he uploaded pictures of his school to Nigeria’s most popular website and discussion forum, Nairaland.
The individual who goes by the Nairaland moniker BENSU described the pictures as follows “Below are beautiful pictures of AAU ekpoma.”
He then added the following photos:
As soon as the thread made the coveted front page of the Forum, other users went in with comments that rubbished the state of the University and environs.
One user commented, “Are you sure that’s not a secondary school?”
Another said, “Very poor environment! Looks like a village skool..BTW Great Uniben.”
A user going by Drinkwater said, “How old is this school? This is not nice at all, dirty environment, archaic dilapidated structure. OP I want to see the senate building, library and hostels if they are any.”
Other users compared the school to a zoo, a poultry farm and a prison yard in various comments on the thread.
Another userMaziKachi drove home the point of how years of government and administrative neglect had run down the school by showing what a well designed and managed institution looks like. He posted a photo of Covenant University
