Jonathan Submits Confab Report to National Assembly

President Goodluck Jonathan has sent the report of the 2014 National Conference to the National Assembly for consideration and necessary legislative actions.

The report was contained in a letter addressed to the Senate and House of Representatives, the letter reminded the Senate that while setting up the Confab committee, part of the terms of reference to the committee was to discuss any issue about Nigeria with particular emphasis on finding lasting solution the unity of the country.

Meanwhile the Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the August 9, 2014 governorship election in Osun State, Iyiola Omisore, against the election of the All Progressives Congress’ candidate, Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

The dismissal further affirmed Aregbesola’s victory at the polls.
