Super Eagles boss, Stephen Keshi has invited 26 home-based players to prosecute the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Chad next month.
The 2013 African Champions, who were unable to defend their AFCON title this year in Equatorial Guinea will commence their campaign for the 2017 edition of the championship in June.
Nigeria are in the same group with seven-time champions, Egypt, Tanzania and Chad, but with the current performance of the team, they might have to work extra hard to qualify.
The former Mali and Togo manager invited record scorer in the Nigeria elite division, Mfon Udoh, Gbolahan Salami, Daniel Akpeyi, Solomon Kwambe, Chibuzor Okonkwo, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Rabiu Ali, Kunle Odunlami, and Ezekiel Mba are joined by exciting new faces Ibrahim Shaibu, Onoriode Odah and Igbinosa and many others.
Meanwhile, Enyimba captain, Chinedu Udoji, Giwa FC’s Henlong Charles, Joe Omale of Dekina Dragons and FC Taraba’s Samuel Olabisi are coming into camp for the first time.
All the invited players are expected to report at the Bolton Hotel Apartments, Wuse, Abuja on Tuesday, 19th May, 2015
