Raheem Sterling is set to knock back an enormous contract offer from Liverpool according to reports.
The Daily Mail is of the belief that the 20-year old winger will turn down a proposal of around £180,000-a-week to remain at Anfield.
Sterling still has more than two years to run on his current £35,000-a-week deal so there is no immediate threat of him leaving, but Rodgers has said previously that Liverpool will not pay above what they feel a player is worth.
England international Sterling is contracted with the Reds until the summer of 2017 but has not yet agreed to an extension despite the Merseyside clubs best efforts.
Sterling is set to ponder his future at the end of the season but at this point in time, will not put pen to what is expected to be one of the largest contracts in Liverpool history.
