Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama, has been ruled out of Sunday’s friendly match against South African with a back problem.
The Lille goalkeeper earned his 100th cap for Nigeria, in the 1-0 defeat to Uganda on Wednesday, but will not be available for the clash against Bafana Bafana.
It means Enyeama will not get the chance to become the most capped Eagles player ever – he is tied with former skipper Joseph Yobo on 100.
He is, however, the fourth African goalkeeper to become a centurion after three Egyptians – Essam El-Hadary, Nader El-Sayed and Ahmed Shobair.
Daniel Akpeyi has been called up as his replacement and the Warri Wolves keeper has already arrived at the Uyo camp, to link up with the squad.
